We are very excited to be working with the Ahmed Iqbal Ullah RACE Centre to capture Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) experiences of of life through the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020.
Given the disproportionate impact that COVID-19 has had on the BAME community, we support the AIU RACE Centre in ensuring the experiences of Greater Manchester’s BAME communities are captured and preserved within their archives.
We would encourage students, families and the wider community to take part in this ground-breaking effort to record the voices and stories of communities that are often unequally represented in the public record.
Digital copies of text messages, writing, photos, artwork and sounds can be donated via email along with background information that give context. Further information on the project and donation process can be found on the AIU Race Centre website.
