“Outstanding” was the official judgement given to us by Ofsted when they inspected our school in early October.
We are delighted with some of the outstanding things Ofsted have said about our school:
The school is a harmonious community. Pupils accept and value each other. Pupils say that bullying is very rare and, if it does occur, it is dealt with quickly.
Pupils behave well in lessons, which helps all to learn.
Pupils make very substantial progress throughout their time in school.
Pupils are very well prepared for their next steps after they leave school.
Pupils’ behaviour is good. They know what the school expects and have welcomed the clearer approaches to discipline introduced over the last year.
The school’s work to promote pupils’ personal development and welfare is outstanding.
Pupils say they feel safe in school. They know who to contact if they have any concerns and have confidence that these will be followed up.
We’re proud that the report recognises that students are part of a safe and harmonious community, that they treat each other with respect and behave well in their lessons. Our outstanding teachers have been complimented on their tireless work and dedication to our pupils. Ofsted say that our pupils learn well and make excellent progress with Year 11 pupils gaining consistently strong results in their GCSE examinations.
If you’d like your son to join us for September 2019, there is still time! If you would like to visit the school , please contact main reception on 0161 432 1527.
