Dear Pupils, Parents and Carers,
We hope that you and your families are safe and well. Please take good care during these difficult times and follow the guidelines about staying in! It is also important to get some exercise each day.
We have now been away from school for almost 4 weeks, including the Easter holidays and many of you have been completing the home learning tasks on the school website. All the subjects are available on our school website and this work is updated every 2 weeks. Teachers’ email addresses are also there so please send work to your teachers.
We recognise that these are very difficult times and our recommendation to you is to aim for approximately 2 hours schoolwork per day. Some of you may do more than this but we respect that everyone’s home circumstances are different.
Try to read as many books as you can: reading is one of the most effective ways to improve your learning and your vocabulary.
BBC Bitesize is providing some online resources from Monday 20th April, which will support your learning at home. They are also introducing daily TV programmes to help you with different subjects. These will be available on BBC I player and the red button.
If you have any questions about the work available on the school website, contact me via email: email@example.com
Your teachers are always here to help you and we look forward to seeing you again once it is safe to re-open schools.
Free School Meal Information
We will also be moving to a new national Government system of processing free school meal payments from Monday April 20th, whereby we will be able to generate supermarket vouchers and send directly to you by email or post. If you are entitled to free school meals, the school will contact you by email with your payment voucher attached for you to use. If you do not have access to email we will post paper vouchers to your home address.
Take care of yourselves and each other.
