Visit Us

At Burnage Academy, we believe that you should see our school on a normal day, with students taking their normal lessons. We hope every day is an excellent day, so every day is an Open Day for new parents and their sons. A tour will include a meeting with a senior member of staff who will be able to answer any questions you may have.

If you would like to visit us in action, please contact the school on 0161 432 1527 to book an appointment. More information is available about our school below.

Parking is available for visitors behind the sports hall. however, on street parking is also available outside the school. All visitors must report to the school reception.

Visiting Professionals

As part of our role with children and young people, we often have external professionals working with us on our school site. Visitors should always ensure arrangements are agreed with a member of staff and that their appointment is registered through our online form in advance of the visit: Visitor Registration Form

Any visitors coming to us for the first time should bring a copy of their DBS check with them (if required for the role) to ensure the correct level of supervision is in place.

Without correct procedures being followed, we may be unable to authorise entry to the site. A copy of our visitor guide can be found at the bottom of this page.

Our results are outstanding and year on year Burnage students make exceptional progress. On average, boys achieve one grade higher than boys do in other schools across all subjects. Students’ results in English are amongst the best in the country for boys, as they are for Maths.

If your son comes to Burnage, he will achieve the best grades he can. In 2019 we won an SSAT Educational Outcomes Award for our students’ exceptional progress:

  • Grades 4-9 including English and Maths = 65%
  • Grade 4+ in English = 74%
  • Grade 4+ in Maths = 70%
