Updated Guidance - Covid-19

The school is no longer operating the year group bubble system and masks are voluntary. Hand sanitiser is in place in all classes and we are following the most up to date Government guidance on ventilating the school to prevent the spread of Covid-19. To support us please follow the most up to date advice around Covid-19, which is found at https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus

If your son has any symptoms linked to Covid-19 such as fever, cough, loss of taste or smell and headache then you must keep him off school and book a PCR test at: https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test

If any family member displays Covid-19 symptoms they must also book a PCR test. If any family member tests positive for Covid-19 we advise that the entire household is tested for Covid-19 through PCR tests but other household members do not need to isolate if they are under the age of 18 years and 6 months or are double jabbed. If those other household members do start to display Covid-19 symptoms they should self-isolate and book a PCR test immediately.

If your son tests positive for Covid-19 you must inform the school immediately as well as the NHS. Please follow this link for further support https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing/test-results/

The NHS will give you advice on how long your son needs to stay off school until which you must pass onto us to allow your absence to be coded accurately. As of September 2021 the NHS will take the lead in tracing any possible close contacts in the school.
