Every pupil who attends Burnage Academy For Boys is member of a House. Each house is made up of pupils from across year groups and is identified by a different coloured tie. Boys remain in the same house for the duration of their time at school. There are four houses at Burnage Academy For Boys:
Our house system gives pupils the opportunity to build friendships, develop a sense of belonging and work together as part of a team.
Throughout the year, pupils represent their house in a wide range of competitions, extra-curricular activities and fundraising events. Whether competing on the sports field, taking part in a quiz, supporting a charity or getting involved in an extra-curricular challenge, every pupil has the opportunity to contribute to the success of their house.
The house system encourages pupils to demonstrate our core values of Resilience, Independence and Care. Pupils learn to work with others, support their teammates, take responsibility and celebrate the achievements of those around them.
Being part of a house is about more than competition. It is about belonging, teamwork and making a positive contribution to our school community. Every pupil has a role to play, and every contribution matters.
