Parent Trustees contribute to the governance of our Academy Trust. Trustees offer voluntary support to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and guidance, through developing an understanding of the statutory framework concerning educational trusts and delivering oversight through review of reports and data, attendance at several evening meetings over the year and undertaking daytime visits to the school to understand how the Trust systems and processes work in practice.
The Term of office of one of our Parent Trustees is due to end in February. The current post-holder is keen to continue for a further 4-year term of office but this volunteer opportunity is now open for competitive applications from any parent of a pupil at the school. You will then have the opportunity for discussion with the Chair of the Trust Board prior to completion of an application form and election address as part of a formal process involving a ballot of all parents.
