News • 01/10/25

After an award-winning 2024, Burnage Academy has been shortlisted as Most Inspirational Secondary School at the prestigious Educate Awards 2025.

This year saw a record-breaking number of entries and the calibre was exceptional, making the judging process tougher than ever. Being named on the shortlist is a huge achievement.

The Educate Awards, founded by Kim O’Brien in 2012, have grown into the largest education awards in the North West. This glittering ceremony is the talk of the region, where the finest schools, colleges, teachers and support staff across Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Cumbria come together to celebrate their achievements in a truly unique fashion.

With the event now in its 14th year, the 2025 awards ceremony is set to take place at the awe-inspiring Liverpool Cathedral on Friday 14 November 2025. Nominations for the prestigious education awards continue to grow at an exponential rate each year, making the competition even tougher.

A total of 21 education awards are up for grabs, shortlisted by an esteemed panel of judges. The shortlist is revealed prior to the event with the winners will be revealed during a prestigious and glamorous event. The night includes a pre-dinner champagne reception, a sumptuous 3-course meal, an extensive programme of entertainment, and, of course, the awards ceremony itself.

"We are delighted to have been nominated," said Mr Harrison.

"It is particularly special to be recognised by those from our region. It is imperative that we come together and celebrate the achievements of education in the north of England and we are immensely proud to have been nominated.

"Congratulations to all shortlisted schools and colleagues and we look forward to celebrating in November!"
