Attendance Matters

At Burnage Academy, We Say Every Second Counts

This year’s target attendance for each student is 100%  with the minimum required 98%.

Your son’s achievement is very important to us.

‘How can your son be the best he can be with his learning

if he is not in school 100% of the time?’

Please help us to help your son to achieve his best by attending school as much as he can.

If your son is absent from school for any reason you must let us know.

This is important as he will realise that you value his attendance too and that he cannot have days off without good reason.

Please ring the Attendance Hotline on 0161 432 1527 (ext. 489) before 9am. The Attendance mobile number is 0759 9967 625.

If we have not heard from you by 9am we will send you a text to let you know your son is absent.  You can text back to update us, giving us the reason why he is absent and to let us know when we can expect him back in school.

Thank you for co-operation in this matter.

For more information including registration times, please download our parent-friendly guide to attendance, attached below.

In case of severe weather, parents can go to the BBC weather site for accurate forecasts and updates.
