The music curriculum offers students a diverse and exciting experience of music. Pupils will explore the social, historical and cultural context of a wide variety of musical genres as well as participate in extra-curricular activities that help them understand the significance of music within their own environment. They will perform the work of others instrumentally and explore their own creativity through musical composition as well as lyrically. The curriculum will offer students the opportunity to experience different musical genres in a listening, singing, compositional and instrumental capacity.
Students can learn to play a musical instrument through our specialist peripatetic teachers as well as take part in numerous after school clubs which range from band to music tech.
