Make Your Mark 2017

Make Your Mark gives a unique opportunity to reach out to young people who go on to be opinion formers and leaders of the future. A ballot is held in schools across the UK. It decides what Members of the UK Youth Parliament should debate and vote on to be their campaign for in 2018.

The debate takes place in November 2017 within the House of Commons.

This year, Burnage took part in the ballot and volunteers from the school’s Smart School Council counted the votes. The results can be seen below:

Now that the national results have been collated, we can compare our school’s votes to those across the UK. Manchester and the North West feature prominently.

We look forward to seeing the impact of the campaign as the chosen topics are acted on in 2018. Students will be invited to take part in Make Your Mark again next year.
